• Education:
  
  BA/BS from a regionally accredited program/university in FLDOE certificate subject area – required.
• Certification:
  Florida Instructional Certification (any subject) – required.
• OR
  
  Education:
  
  BA/BS from a regionally accredited program/university – preferred.
• Certification:
  Florida Athletic Coaching Certification (Professional 5‑Year or Temporary 3‑Year) – preferred; temporary certificates are not renewable, applicant may apply upon extension of offer.
• Experience:
  
  Two (2) years documented sport‑specific and age‑level coaching (Secondary) experience. Extensive knowledge of the sport at competition level; demonstrated leadership skills and management of large groups of students/athletes.
• Substitutions:
  College level coaching may substitute for High School coaching experience.
• Notes:
  To obtain a five‑year (Professional) Athletic Coaching Certificate, must complete Sports Specific, Sports Medicine, Sports Theory, and possess a valid CPR card from the American Heart Association or American Red Cross.
