Tipp City Schools is seeking a dependable and flexible PRN Bus Driver / Custodial Worker for the 2026–2027 school year. This hybrid position provides as‑needed transportation support while ensuring consistent custodial coverage. Summer custodial work is optional.
The position is structured as 5 hours per day of bus driving and 3 hours per day of custodial work, totaling 8 hours per day, 260 days per year. On days when bus driving coverage is not required, the employee may be assigned full 8‑hour custodial duties.
The bus driver position has the potential to transition into a full‑time role by coordinating responsibilities with current custodial openings. This combined position could run during the school year with bus driving complemented by custodial duties during non‑route hours, or extend year‑round depending on district needs. This model provides greater stability for the employee while supporting both transportation and facilities operations efficiently.
Compensation- Bus Driver: $20.82 starting rate
- Custodial Worker: $15.83 starting rate
- 11 paid holidays
- Vacation, sick leave, and three (3) personal days
- Eligibility for district health and retirement benefits
- Valid CDL with school bus endorsement (or ability to obtain)
- Satisfactory driving record
- Ability to perform custodial duties
