Primary

Purpose:

To deliver exceptional customer experience and actively contribute to the store’s sales performance by driving sales and representing the Coach brand with professionalism and enthusiasm. Preparing and serving coffee and food in our Coach Coffee Shops, this position will be responsible for customer service, which will include taking orders, recommending drinks or food items and ensuring a positive customer experience. Tasks will include crafting beverages on espresso machines and maintaining cleanliness.

Must have knowledge of different coffee types, brewing methods and customization options to meet customer preferences.

Responsibilities
  • Guest Engagement:
    Greet and assist guests with warmth and authenticity that makes them feel welcomed and look for cues on how we may make their experience fun and memorable.
  • Product Knowledge:
    Maintain deep knowledge of menu, merchandise, and Coach brand heritage to seize opportunities to share the craft & quality in all of our products.
  • Selling

    Skills:

    Meet individual and store sales goals by sharing our different beverages, food, and merchandise options. Identify opportunities to enhance guest experience through customization (e.g., alternative milks, extra shots, larger sizes) and ensuring their awareness of limited availability items.
  • Visual Standards:
    Support floor sets, replenishment, and visual merchandising standards.
  • Operational Excellence:
    Maintain a clean, organized and stocked workplace, ensuring proper sanitation and food safety standards are always followed. Operate espresso machines, grinders, and ovens to prepare and serve handcrafted beverages following recipe standards and customer preferences.
  • Team

    Collaboration:

    Work closely with team members to solve problems and ensure seamless guest experience. Support team goals by sharing selling strategies and celebrating wins together.
  • Prepare and serve coffee, espresso and specialty drinks, following recipes and customer preferences.
  • Operate coffee machines, grinders and brewing equipment.
  • Provide exceptional customer service, greeting customers, taking orders and handling transactions.
  • Maintain a clean and organized workplace, including counters, equipment and customer seating areas.
  • Stock and replenish coffee supplies, syrups, pasties and other items as needed.
  • Educate customers on different coffee options, brewing methods and menu items.
  • Assist with opening and closing duties.
  • Handle customer complaints in a professional manner.
Qualifications
  • Prior experience as a barista or in a café setting is preferred.
  • Strong communication and customer service skills.
  • Basic math skills for handling transactions and managing cash.
  • Available to work flexible hours/shifts that may include early mornings, evenings, weekends and holidays.
Skills & Abilities Required
  • Ability to work in a faced paced environment.
  • Ability to stand for extended periods.
  • Can lift and carry items up to 25 lbs.
  • Effective client service skills.
  • Proven organizational skills.
  • Proven ability to work with food & beverage operating systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills.
