Registered Nurse - Shore Care - Telemetry-PT Days (Part‑time with Benefits)

Responsibilities
  • Deliver nursing practices according to the most up‑to‑date evidence‑based research, nursing policies, and standards of care, providing safe and excellent individualized patient care.
  • Assessment:
    Collect comprehensive data pertinent to the patient’s health or situation. Perform age and disease‑specific assessment/data collection independently, focusing on physiologic, psychological, and cognitive status. Recognize clinical and diagnostic status changes. Identify variables in patient/family education needs based on age, disease, and culturally specific learning differences.
  • Plan:
    Develop a plan of care that prescribes strategies and interventions to attain expected outcomes. Formulate age and disease‑specific patient/family‑centered goals/outcomes based on assessment data.
  • Implementation:
    Communicate, coordinate, and implement the plan of care; provide ongoing communication with patient/family, nursing colleagues, and other health‑care team members. Implement age and disease‑specific care in an organized and timely manner. Provide or coordinate patient/family education as needed. Follow established protocols in clinical situations, including documentation. Provide nursing care and treatments that reflect patients’ needs, advocate appropriately, and demonstrate evidence‑based practice.
  • Documentation:
    Perform continuous point‑of‑care electronic documentation of each patient’s assessments, plan‑of‑care, interventions, and evaluation of rendered care. Medicate using barcode scanning and documentation technologies. Coordinate multidisciplinary discharging to ensure safe transition and continuum of care.
  • Evaluation:
    Evaluate progress toward attainment of outcomes. Utilize critical thinking skills to achieve desired patient outcomes. Initiate interventions related to changes in patients’ condition.
  • Additional Responsibilities:
    Identify ethical issues in the practice setting and bring them to team members. Recognize and respond to opportunities to enhance patient satisfaction. Acquire and maintain required competencies, certifications, and continuing education. Adhere to American Nurses Association Code for Nurses with Interpretive Statements. Be willing to travel between all HMH locations. Adhere to HMH’s Organizational and Managerial competencies and standards of behavior.

    Perform other duties or projects as assigned.
Working Conditions
  • Long periods of sitting with frequent standing, walking or moving; requires keying on computer terminal to input information.
  • Requires constant verbal communication in person or using the phone.
  • Requires frequent reading of correspondence, emails, reports, material, etc.
  • Exposure to communicable diseases.
  • Lifting >35 pounds.
  • Extended wearing of PPE, including surgical mask for long periods.
  • Lifts a minimum of 35 lbs., pushes/pulls a minimum of 10 lbs., and stands a minimum of 6 hours a day.
Qualifications Education, Knowledge,

Skills and Abilities

Required
  • Associate’s degree in Nursing or Diploma in Nursing.
  • Minimum of two (2) years recent experience in specialty, effective May 5 2025.
  • Minimum of one (1) year experience in a floating professional environment (travel professional organization, site‑flexible resource float pool, or equivalent).
  • Ability to learn quickly and adapt to changing patient needs; strong sense of accountability for improving patient and caregiver lives; exceptional teamwork focus; dedication to ongoing education; passion for delivering highest‑quality care.
