PositionSummary
The Broking Specialist receives and processes submissions for business from a network of insurance agents, obtains quotes from multiple insurance carriers, and provides agents with multiple quotes based on business requirements. Develops and maintains a network of agency and/or broker relationships.
Primary Responsibilities- Collaborate with Account Managers and Client Advisors to develop coverage strategy and marketing initiatives for renewal and prospective business in the Middle Market segment.
- Prepare, review, and approve client‑ready documentation, including proposals, analysis, and coverage comparisons, for new business opportunities and renewals.
- Participate in client and prospect meetings as requested.
- Negotiate with underwriters to establish best terms and conditions with respect to premiums and coverage.
- Develop and maintain positive relationships with carriers that write both Middle Market and upper Middle Market P&C business.
- Provide leadership, mentoring and direction to assist with growth and development of Broking Associates; present current trends and issues to interested parties internally and externally.
- Drive utilization of all available technology throughout broking and client service processes.
- Adhere to the highest standards of professionalism and ethical behavior in all activities.
- 3‑5+ years experience in Property and Casualty with a comprehensive understanding of insurance coverages for commercial lines.
- Must hold state Property & Casualty insurance license.

Office work involves working at a desk most of the time, using a stand‑up/sit‑down adjustable desk. Exerting up to 10 pounds of force occasionally and/or negligible amount of force frequently to lift, carry, push, pull, or otherwise move objects. Typing, grasping, and repetitive motion typically required every day, and walking and standing required occasionally.

CompensationThis position is located in New Jersey. The base salary may range from $75,000 to $80,000. Individual compensation varies based on job‑related factors, including business needs, experience, level of responsibility, and qualifications.
