Red Bank Veterinary Hospital (RBVH) is a new, state-of-the-art facility that opened in May 2024—an expansive, 100,000+ square foot space nearly twice the size of our original Tinton Falls location. Equipped with advanced diagnostics like MRI, CT, fluoroscopy, and a PET scanner, the hospital features 52 exam rooms, 12 surgical suites, a dedicated emergency department, and expanded training spaces. The Diagnostic Imaging Technician Lead supports veterinarians and specialists in delivering advanced diagnostic imaging services. Responsibilities include overseeing safety and badge maintenance, ordering supplies, maintaining and troubleshooting equipment, running daily patient flow, and addressing interpersonal concerns. The role also includes preparing patients, operating imaging equipment, ensuring image quality, assisting with procedures, and maintaining compliance with safety and medical standards.
Key Responsibilities- Coordinate daily patient schedules and assist with prioritization in collaboration with Radiologists and specialty teams.
- Intake patients for referral imaging and facilitate safe movement between departments and imaging rooms.
- Position, restrain, and monitor patients during radiographs, ultrasounds, CT scans, and other imaging procedures.
- Perform venipuncture (catheter placement, blood draws, drug administration) and process lab specimens.
- Administer and monitor sedation under the direction of specialists or anesthesiologists.
- Upload and manage imaging files in the viewing database; document patient care and charges in medical systems.
- Serve as a subject‑matter expert on positioning and image quality, training team members as needed.
- Support hospital operations by maintaining a clean and organized work environment.

- Wednesday – Saturday
- 8 am – 6 pm
- Non‑Credentialed Technicians: $24 – $29 per hour (based on experience)
- Credentialed Technicians: $29 – $36 per hour (based on experience)
- Veterinary Technician Specialists: $37 – $44 per hour (based on experience)
- Sign‑on bonus up to $3,000
- Three or more years of experience working as a nursing team member in a veterinary hospital.
- Fluent English speaking and reading skills are required; fluency in multiple languages is a plus.
- Credentialed as a Veterinary Technician (LVT/CVT/RVT)
- Prior experience working as a veterinary nurse in a radiology department
