Description
Join Proven IT’s dynamic Sales Internship program and gain hands‑on experience in business development, client engagement, and technology sales. Over the course of this 8‑week summer program
, you’ll work closely with our sales mentors and Learning & Development team to explore every step of the Proven IT sales process — from prospecting and relationship‑building to client support and strategic account growth.
- Make outbound calls to current clients to strengthen relationships, conduct satisfaction check‑ins, and provide additional service support
- Coordinate and schedule account review meetings with existing clients
- Research and identify new potential customers across Proven IT’s core service areas
- Prospect and qualify leads through outreach, networking, and CRM management
- Identify opportunities for service expansion and educate clients on additional Proven offerings that align with their goals
- Gather and relay client feedback to internal teams for continuous improvement
- Maintain accurate records of client interactions, feedback, and next steps in the CRM
- Collaborate cross‑functionally with sales, support, and operations to drive client success and growth
- Attend professional development sessions and company meetings to build sales acumen, presentation skills, and business knowledge
- Complete a final internship project summarizing your experience and impact
- Currently pursuing or recently completed a Bachelor’s degree in Business, Marketing, Communications, or a related field preferred
- Interested in pursuing a career in sales, consulting, or technology solutions
- Strong communicator (verbal and written) with excellent interpersonal skills
- Highly motivated self‑starter with a passion for learning and problem‑solving
- Organized and adaptable with strong attention to detail
- Comfortable working collaboratively across departments
- Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word) and comfortable using CRM tools, Linked In, and Google for research
- Must have a valid driver’s license, reliable transportation, and minimum levels of auto insurance coverage
- Duration: ~8‑10 weeks (Summer 2026)
- Location: Tinley Park, IL – Onsite
- Compensation: Paid Internship
- Schedule: Monday–Friday, standard business hours
While performing the duties of this job, the employee uses his/her hands to finger, handle, or feel objects; reach with hands and arms. The employee uses a computer, copier, fax, and telephone equipment. The employee must be able to sit for a prolonged period. Must be able to lift up to 15 pounds.
BENEFITSGROUP HEALTH INSURANCE: After a 30‑day waiting period, full‑time employees (who work at least 30 hours per week) and their dependents, are eligible to enroll in health benefits utilizing the Cigna network. Health options include a choice of 2 PPO plans or a High Deductible Health Plan with employer contributions to a Health Savings Account (HSA). In addition, Dental benefits are available as well as a Vision PPO plan utilizing the Eye Med network.
Proven also offers voluntary worksite benefits including critical illness, hospital indemnity, accident coverage, short‑term disability insurance, supplemental life and pet insurance. Additional offerings include an employee discount program, home and auto insurance services and commuter/transit FSA.
EMPLOYER PROVIDED LIFE/AD&D INSURANCE: After a 30‑day waiting period, Proven IT provides a flat $25,000 Life Insurance benefit, administered by Blue Cross Blue Shield, to all full‑time employees (who work at least 30 hours per week). Accidental Death & Dismemberment (AD&D) benefit payments are determined based on the type of loss incurred and are payable up to the full Life Insurance benefit amount.
Life and AD&D Insurance coverage amounts are reduced at ages 65, 70 and 75.
EMPLOYER PROVIDED LTD: Long‑Term Disability (LTD) insurance is an employer‑provided benefit and provides protection from loss of income in the event that an employee is unable to work due to illness, injury, or accident for a long period of time. The elimination period is 90‑days, and the maximum…
