Sales Consultant – Full Time

Location: 18800 Oak Park Ave, Tinley Park, Illinois, 60477

Base Pay: $15.00/hr – $20.00/hr

Car Max pays new Sales Consultants competitive wages while in training. After the first 640 hours of selling, commissions become the primary base of pay.

• Use your knowledge of Car Max inventory to assist customers in finding a vehicle that meets their needs.
• Guide customers every step of the way—from sales or appraisal to test drives and arranging financing applications.
• Complete all relevant records and documentation to ensure smooth transactions for our customers.

• Sales and customer service experience, in an area such as retail, is preferred.
• Good listening skills and a strong customer focus.
• High level of self‑motivation.

• Up to 48 hours of sick time per year, accrued per pay period.
• Between 80 hours and 200 hours of vacation time per year after a 90‑day waiting period, depending on years of continuous service.
• 8 hours of pay for each of a total of 6 paid scheduled holidays per year plus one floating holiday.
• Holiday Premium Pay if you work on a scheduled holiday due to business need.
• Full‑time hourly or commissioned associates may earn additional paid time away as needed with manager approval.
• Full‑time salaried associates are entitled to paid time away with no specified limit subject to manager approval.
• Paid sick, vacation, and holiday time as required by state law.
