2nd Shift CNC Machinist

Position: 2nd Shift CNC Machinist - Vertical and Horizontal Milling

Position Overview:

As a 2nd Shift CNC Machinist, you will be responsible for setting up and operating CNC machines to produce high-quality parts according to specifications. You will primarily be working with vertical and horizontal milling machines but may also be required to work with other CNC machines as needed. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in CNC machining, with a focus on vertical and horizontal milling, and a keen attention to detail.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and operate CNC machines, including vertical and horizontal milling machines, to produce parts according to specifications
• Read and interpret engineering drawings and blueprints to determine machining operations
• Select and load appropriate materials into the machine
• Monitor machine operations and make necessary adjustments to maintain quality and efficiency
• Inspect finished parts using precision measuring tools to ensure they meet required specifications
• Troubleshoot and resolve any issues that may arise during the machining process
• Maintain a clean and organized work area, following all safety protocols
• Collaborate with team members and communicate any issues or concerns to the supervisor

Qualifications:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• Minimum of 3 years of experience as a CNC Machinist, with a focus on vertical and horizontal milling
• Proficient in reading and interpreting engineering drawings and blueprints
• Experience with CNC programming and G-code
• Strong understanding of machining principles and techniques
• Familiarity with precision measuring tools and equipment
• Ability to work independently and in a team environment
• Excellent attention to detail and problem-solving skills
• Ability to work 2nd shift hours
