Job Title: Assistant Controller

Location: Tinley Park, IL (Hybrid – 50% in office)

Salary: $140,000 – $170,000 + Incentive Plan

We are seeking a strategic and experienced Assistant Controller to join our Tinley Park finance team. The Assistant Controller will report directly to the Controller and manage a team of 3 direct reports and several indirect reports, overseeing financial reporting, compliance, and operational accounting processes. As an Assistant Controller
, you will play a key role in driving process improvements, ensuring accurate reporting, and empowering your team to deliver high-quality results. The Assistant Controller will also collaborate across departments to optimize workflows and support business decisions, contributing to the organization’s continued success.

• Lead the accounting function to ensure precise financial reporting and regulatory compliance.
• Inspire and develop a high-performing accounting team through coaching, training, and performance reviews.
• Audit financial statements, detect discrepancies, and safeguard data integrity.
• Partner across departments to optimize workflows and boost operational efficiency.
• Support process improvements, automation initiatives, and system enhancements as needed.

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting or Business required;
  Master’s preferred.
• CPA required.
• 5–7 years in accounting with 2–4 years managing teams; public accounting experience preferred.
• Strong proficiency with Excel; experience with Power BI/Tableau, Python/SQL, and Oracle ERP preferred.
• Leadership, communication, and collaboration skills.
• Experience leveraging AI, automation, and data-driven decision-making a plus.
