We are currently opening a training opportunity to train new Bolter
. Candidates must have at least three years of experience in underground mining. Prior experience with air-leg drills, vertical drills, and conventional drills is a significant asset. This training represents an excellent opportunity to enhance your skills and progress in the mining field.
Job Description
Operate the bolter safely to install ground support according to plans and current standards.
Read and interpret ground support plans to determine the type, length, and location of the bolts to be installed.
Inspect the stability of the working face before, during, and after operations.
Prepare, drill, and clean bolt holes prior to anchor installation.
Install mechanical, resin (chemical), or cable bolts, as well as screen/mesh and other required supports.
Perform preventive maintenance and daily inspections of the bolter and related equipment.
Report any equipment defects, hazardous situations, or needs for improvement.
Collaborate with other team members to ensure the efficient and safe progress of the work.
Strictly adhere to work procedures, health and safety rules, and current Quebec regulations at all times.
Training Requirements
Hold a DEP (Vocational Studies Diploma) in Mineral Extraction or possess equivalent experience;
Possess a minimum of 2 years of underground experience;
