    Position :
    Electrician – Hearst Sawmill

    Location :
    Hearst, ON

    Green First is looking for an electrician to work within a team to perform maintenance on electrical and/or instrumentation and control systems, install repair, modify, and troubleshoot industrial equipment for electrical/electronic distribution and control (power and domestic).

    Responsibilities
    :

    • Perform electrical work as required: installing, repairing, troubleshooting, testing, and analyzing equipment.

    • Read and interpret electrical code specifications, blueprints, and circuit diagrams.

    • Conduct preventive maintenance programs on electrical equipment.

    • Complete appropriate paperwork, machine/panel documentation, and preventative maintenance records

    • In emergencies make temporary or permanent repairs to minimize interruption of production

    • Assisting on other duties to support the maintenance team to meet department requirements.

    • Maintain a clean, safe, and organized work environment.

    Requirements:

    • Graduate of an Electrical Engineering Technology program or equivalent

    • Valid Electrician License Construction & Maintenance (C&M) 309A or an Industrial Electrician 442A

    • Must have good communication and leadership skills.

    • Must be able to read and understand electrical prints.

    • Able to set priorities and work with minimum supervision.

    • Strong computing and troubleshooting ability.

    • Teamwork and self-starting work ethic

    • Knowledge of Lockout:
    Isolation and de energization of all energy sources for the work area.

    • Bilingualism is an asset (French and English)
