We need safety focused, efficient Lead Electricians to direct / assist U/G Electricians in new installation and work ongoing maintenance.

Dumas is a leading full-service underground mining contractor providing services to clients throughout the Americas. We specialize in mine construction, mine development, production mining, mine services and engineering.

Under the direction of the Project Superintendent, the Lead Electrician is responsible for planning, performing, and oversight of underground electrical installations.

• Thorough knowledge of all safety, health and environmental regulations as they pertain to the work and workplace.
• Read and interpret drawings, blueprints, schematics and electrical code specifications to determine layout of industrial electrical equipment installations.
• Ability to install, examine, replace or repair electrical wiring, receptacles, switch boxes, conduits, feeders, fiber‑optic and coaxial cable assemblies, lighting fixtures and other electrical components.
• Ability to test electrical and electronic equipment and components for continuity, current, voltage and resistance.
• Ability to troubleshoot, maintain and repair industrial, electrical and electronic control systems and other related devices.

• Ontario Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Modules
• Ontario Hardrock Mining Supervisory Common Core or equivalent experience
• Electrical Red Seal Journeyman certification
• 5 years u/g electrical experience
• Outstanding safety record
