Development Miner - MacLean Bolter

About the Position

Currently, Technica is seeking a self‑motivated and qualified individual to join our growing team as a Mac Lean Bolter - Development Miner. There are multiple open positions available to aid our long‑term development projects in Timmins, Ontario. We are actively seeking to fill these positions to support the continued success of our operations.

The key responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Perform pre‑operational inspections and ensure safe operation of mechanized bolter
• Inspect existing underground headings and scale loose rocks while working according to work procedures and company policies within a safety‑conscious environment
• Operate Mac Lean Bolter to install primary and secondary ground support in development headings
• Operate Mac Lean Bolter to recondition existing underground drifts and headings
• Participate in other facets of underground development, as required, which includes LHD operation, service advancement, load development faces and other underground activities
• Assist with other support duties such as mechanical installations and maintenance of air, water, and ventilation

• Must have Basic Underground Hard Rock Mining Common Core (U0000, U0001, U0002, U0003, U0004, U0005, U0006, U0010, & U0012) or equivalent provincial designation
• Must have Underground Specialty module U0018 – Operate Mechanized Rock Bolter
• Following Specialty modules are considered an asset:
  • U0068 A or B – Perform Trackless Haulage
  • U0089 – Operate Mechanized Jumbo Drill
  • U0091 – Operate Haul Truck
• Previous experience using a jackleg and stoper considered an asset
• Must have a minimum of 5 years underground development experience
