Applicants will have the opportunity to gain work experience in Home Care with no limited experience required! If you are new, or newly returning to the Health Care Field and are unsure of where to start, do not fear! You will have the opportunity to receive valuable training from the Company’s highly qualified team who will provide guidance and mentorship!

• Job Types: Full-Time, Part-Time, Casual (Please note that the Casual Salary differs)
• Salary: $24.50 per hour (Including Government Incentive)

• Health Care Certification:
  Personal Support Worker (PSW) Diploma or equivalent
• The Person al Support Worker must have a solid knowledge of the principles, practices, and methods of community nursing and the delivery of personal care service to clients
• Tuberculosis Skin Test (Step 1 &
  2) - valid within 2 years
• Criminal Record Check – Vulnerable Sector - valid within the year
• Access to a reliable vehicle with a valid driver’s license

• Provide personal care service according to direction of the established care plan and ensure to continuously monitor the emotional, spiritual, functional, and physical comfort and safety of our clients
• Provide personal care that is within the provincial scope of practice for a Personal Support Worker:
  Duties may include skin care, hair care, mouth care, bathing, bowel and bladder care, positioning and movement, exercise, basic wound care, feeding including special diets, assistance with oxygen administration and medication reminder
• Understands and implements infection prevention practices
• Adhere to Canadian Shield Health Care Services Policies and Procedures
• Maintains confidentiality of client and corporate information and discusses same only with appropriate Canadian Shield Health Care Services personnel

• Exceptional interpersonal skills and ability to work independently and as part of a team
• Ability to stand, bend, squat, kneel, and reach freely and able to freely lift 23 kg
• Able to travel locally from assignment to assignment
• Must be able to effectively communicate both verbally and written in English
• Ability to communicate both verbally and written in French is an asset
