Brief description: The New Hampshire Veterans Home has a full-time, 1st shift vacancy for a Licensed Nursing Assistant I‑III / LMNA.
SUMMARYLNA I – Under the direct supervision of licensed nursing staff, provides essential support and direct care to residents by assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring a safe, clean, comfortable, and enriching environment.
LNA II – With direction and oversight, independently provides essential support and direct care to residents by assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring a safe, clean, comfortable, and enriching environment. Mentors new nursing assistants.
LNA III – With general oversight, independently provides essential support and direct care to residents by assisting with daily living activities, monitoring health conditions, and ensuring a safe, clean, comfortable, and enriching environment. Mentors/instructs new nursing assistants and makes suggestions for care, treatment, and practice/procedural improvements.
MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS- Education/
Experience:
High school diploma or equivalent credential
- NH Nursing Assistant license
- Driver's license
- May be required to work non‑traditional work hours to meet the needs of the facility
- Must possess physical stamina for prolonged standing and to perform tasks such as lifting, transferring, and transporting residents and materials
- Trainee option: candidates without a high school diploma or an NH Nursing Assistant license may be considered and hired in trainee status; responsibilities will be adjusted accordingly
- Experience in long‑term or geriatric care setting or other role involved in the provision of medical care.
- Strong verbal and written communication and interpersonal skills.
- CPR and First Aid certification.
If hired in trainee status, must obtain a NH Nursing Assistant license within six months of hire.
