Hourly range: $33.74 - $66.07
Direct Care & Nursing Stipend up to $25.00/week
The New Hampshire Veterans Home has a full-time, 1st shift vacancy for a Registered Nurse I-III. Proposed schedule includes two 12-hour shifts (6:45am – 7:15pm), two 8-hour shifts (6:45am – 3:15pm), and rotating weekends (additional $2.00/hour).

RN I — To perform general nursing duties in the care and treatment of residents at the New Hampshire Veteran’s Home; observes, compiles, and reports information concerning the wellbeing, care, and treatment of residents to ensure quality care is provided at all times.
RN II — To perform general nursing duties in the care and treatment of residents at the New Hampshire Veteran’s Home. Applies professional quality nursing standards of care when treating and making recommendations for residents with regards to wellness, healthcare, and treatment plans.
RN III — To provide care and treatment for residents in a long-term care facility setting, with responsibility for administration of medication, comprehensive medical treatment/care planning, and/or ongoing oversight and training of RNI and II nursing staff in accordance with policies and nursing standards of practice at the New Hampshire Veteran’s Home.
Your Experience CountsEach additional year of approved formal education may be substituted for one year of required work experience and/or each additional year of approved work experience may be substituted for one year of required formal education.
Minimum QualificationsRN I
- Education: Graduation from a recognized nursing program with affiliate or postgraduate courses and clinical experience in medical, surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, and psychiatric nursing.
- Experience: Experience is limited to that required for registration.
- License/Certification: Current license as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire.
RN II
- Education: Graduation from a recognized nursing program with affiliate or postgraduate courses and clinical experience in medical, surgical, obstetrics, pediatrics, and psychiatric nursing.
- Experience: One year's experience as a registered nurse in a residential, nursing home, long-term care facility, or similar setting.
- License/Certification: Current license as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire.
RN III
- Education: Bachelor’s degree from a recognized college or university with major study in nursing, human services, psychology, or a related field.
- Experience: One year of experience as a registered nurse in a residential, nursing home, long-term care facility, or similar setting. OR
Education: Graduation from a recognized nursing program and possession of an Associate’s degree in nursing, human services, psychology, or a related field.
Experience: Two years' experience as a registered nurse in a residential, nursing home, long-term care facility, or similar setting. - License/Certification: Current license as a Registered Nurse in New Hampshire.
RN I
- Applies nursing process techniques required in the evaluation, care, and implementation of treatment plans for residents, ensuring needs are addressed and policies followed.
- Observes, records, and reports signs, symptoms and progress of residents’ medical treatment and care plans and makes recommendations to appropriate medical personnel.
- Interacts cooperatively with other nursing staff and health care professionals to meet treatment goals; communicates information to the treatment team as necessary.
