The New Hampshire Veterans Home has a part-time vacancy for a Recreation Assistant.

Provides routine services in recreational therapy programs to improve quality of life for residents at the NH Veterans Home. Monitors residents in individual or group recreational activities and facilitates participation.

Proposed Schedule Includes:

• 8:00am - 4:30pm shifts and 12:00pm - 8:30pm shifts
• Every other weekend (additional $2.00/hour)
• Varying holidays

Salary range: $15.93 - $20.80 hourly. The position may include a direct care supplement up to $10/week.

• Education:
  
  Minimum 10th grade education
• License/Certification:
  Valid driver’s license
• Other Requirements:
  Must be able to work on a rotating schedule that includes weekends and holidays
• Preferred Qualifications:
  
  Recreational work experience with persons with mental, emotional, or physical disabilities; experience with gerontology and/or dementia/Alzheimer’s; certified Activity Professional or eligibility to obtain certification; ability to communicate and work effectively with a team
