A wonderfully led and resourced Primary School in Stanford-le-Hope are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to join them after the February half-term on a full-time basis to work with children who have additional needs and need additional nurturing and support to make their school experience as positive as possible!
Role Details- Position: Teaching Assistant
- Location: Stanford-le-Hope, Essex
- School type: Mainstream Primary School
- Start date: February 2026 start (after half term)
- Contract: Long-term contract with the view of going permanent
- Salary: £88-£100 per day (DOE)
- Hours: Term Time Only (Monday - Friday 8:30am-3:30pm)
- Parking: Parking available
- Training: Great education and training opportunities
This primary school is located in Stanford-le-Hope with excellent transport links so coming to work should be quite straight forward - there is also a staff car park for those who drive.

Experience and QualificationsExperience of supporting any of the following needs would be an advantage:
- ADHD
- Autism (ASD)
- Asperger Syndrome
- Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH)
- Global Delay
- Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
- Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
- Challenging Behaviour
- Have a genuine passionate working with children with SEN
- Driven to improve the education and life chances of children and young people
- Be able to support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
- Be a positive role model and offer encouragement & promote confidence
- Assist with planning of activities with class teacher & SENCO
- Help with general class teaching assistant duties
