A wonderfully led and resourced Primary School in Stanford-le-Hope are seeking a passionate Teaching Assistant to join them after the February half-term on a full-time basis to work with children who have additional needs and need additional nurturing and support to make their school experience as positive as possible!

• Position: Teaching Assistant
• Location: Stanford-le-Hope, Essex
• School type: Mainstream Primary School
• Start date: February 2026 start (after half term)
• Contract: Long-term contract with the view of going permanent
• Salary: £88-£100 per day (DOE)
• Hours: Term Time Only (Monday - Friday 8:30am-3:30pm)
• Parking: Parking available
• Training: Great education and training opportunities

This primary school is located in Stanford-le-Hope with excellent transport links so coming to work should be quite straight forward - there is also a staff car park for those who drive.

This primary school are seeking a Teaching Assistant that has a fantastic willingness to learn and has a real desire to work with children with additional needs/ SEN. They can offer excellent training and support no matter of your experience. As long as you are passionate and have a drive to make a difference, this primary school will support you. They can also pave a pathway to a long-term career in working with children with SEN such as Teacher training, Occupational Therapy, Speech & Language Therapy, Social work to name a few careers!

For this Teaching Assistant role in Stanford-le-Hope, this primary school are open to graduates as well as experienced Teaching Assistants.

Experience of supporting any of the following needs would be an advantage:

• ADHD
• Autism (ASD)
• Asperger Syndrome
• Social, Emotional, Mental Health (SEMH)
• Global Delay
• Moderate Learning Difficulties (MLD)
• Emotional and Behavioural Difficulties (EBD)
• Challenging Behaviour

• Have a genuine passionate working with children with SEN
• Driven to improve the education and life chances of children and young people
• Be able to support pupils 1:1 and in small groups
• Be a positive role model and offer encouragement & promote confidence
• Assist with planning of activities with class teacher & SENCO
• Help with general class teaching assistant duties
