Join Tualatin River keepers to connect with nature and learn more about the importance of native plants!
Join us to plant native plants at Dirksen Nature Park in Tigard! This work supports wildlife habitat, water quality, soil health, and human connection throughout the park.
On this day, we'll be planting a variety of native plants supporting native plant and wildlife habitat in a forested area dominated by ponderosa pines.
Snacks, coffee, tools, safety gear and instruction provided. This park is accessible via the 76 Trimet bus line.
Thank you to our partners from Ash Creek Forest Management, City of Tigard, and Tualatin Soil and Water Conservation District for supporting this project!

Tualatin River keepers is a community-based organization that protects and restores the Tualatin River watershed. We build watershed stewardship through advocacy, restoration work, river access, and education. Our three key areas of focus – advocacy, stewardship, and river experiences – engage hundreds of volunteers and thousands of participants each year, who gain an appreciation of the watershed and its protection by experiencing it first-hand.
Your work at Dirksen Nature Park will help foster healthier native plant habitat in the Fanno Creek and Tualatin River watershed.
