Forklift Operator II

Job Description:

Title: Forklift Operator
Location: Tifton, GA
Duration: 0 – 12 Months
Shift/Time: 8:00 AM – 5:00PM
Pay Rate: $19.00/Hour.

• Load and unload trucks to support daily shipping, receiving, and production movements
• Complete all warehouse requisition paperwork accurately by Lot# and quantity
• Ensure FIFO (First-In-First-Out) is followed for all material movements
• Maintain a clean and organized warehouse; follow company storage and segregation policies
• Promote and maintain a Safety-First culture while operating a forklift
• Inspect forklift and complete required equipment condition paperwork daily
• Assist with periodic cycle counts and annual physical inventories
• Troubleshoot inventory discrepancies and report issues promptly
• Support inventory accuracy through verification of:
• Physical condition and appearance of products
• Article number and description vs. shipment paperwork
• Lot numbers and quantities vs. Bill of Lading/Delivery Note
• Seals on inbound/outbound shipments
• Ensure all outbound shipments (domestic/export) comply with DOT, IMDG, IATA, and FIFRA regulations
• Complete required training (FIFRA, DOT, etc.) on time
• Review inventory status and availability in SAP
• Enter, update, and troubleshoot receipt and shipment information in SAP with minimal support
• Understand and execute daily warehouse shutdown procedures
  
  Provide back-up support to Warehouse Assistant and/or Supervisor
• Serve as a backup for shipping and receiving duties during absences
• Participate in continuous improvement initiatives and suggest process enhancements
• Other duties as assigned

• 1–5 years of warehouse and forklift experience (required)
• Forklift certification will be provided after hire, even if already certified
• Experience in a warehouse/production environment, including shipping and receiving activities
• Good math and communication skills
• Physically fit and able to work safely in a fast-paced environment
