Food Prep Person

Our franchise organization, M. Slentz, LLC dba Golden Corral, is currently seeking energetic, friendly individuals to join our team!

The quality, quantity, freshness, tastiness, and presentation of our products significantly impact our guests' perceptions of Golden Corral. The Food Prep Person is responsible for preparing (cutting, slicing, peeling, etc.) all fresh fruits and vegetables used in Golden Corral. The freshness of our Cold Choice Buffet demonstrates our commitment to high-quality, fresh food.

Operational Excellence:

• Prepares prep items according to Golden Corral product specifications and recipes.
• Maintains a standard inventory of prep items following the Prep Production Guide and the Display Cooking Prep Production Guide, updating as directed by management.
• Ensures maximum yield of products throughout the product cycle.
• Labels, dates, and rotates all bulk produce and prepped items.
• Stores all food items in approved, covered containers.
• Follows the buffet production system to ensure quality and shelf life compliance.
• Notifies the Manager of discrepancies such as food spoilage, invoice errors, waste, or products not meeting specifications.
• Assists the Buffet Attendant in maintaining a full, clean buffet.
• Cleans and organizes the prep area, including coolers, equipment, and dry storage.
• Follows duty roster and maintains cleanliness, service, and quality standards.
• Understands and follows position responsibilities related to just-in-time delivery.
• Adheres to local health department laws.

Guest Service:

• Performs administrative tasks and assists guests during meal periods.
