This full-time, on-site Assistant Professor of Nursing role is based in Bainbridge, GA. The selected candidate will be responsible for teaching undergraduate nursing courses, developing course materials, engaging in scholarly activities, and advising students. Additional responsibilities include participation in curriculum development, serving on college committees, and actively contributing to fostering student success and growth. The role involves collaboration with faculty, staff, and administrators to support the mission and values of ABAC.
Qualifications- Expertise in Nursing education and practice, holding at least a Master’s degree in Nursing (required); a Doctorate in Nursing or a related field is preferred.
- Demonstrated teaching and clinical experience in nursing education, with an ability to develop and deliver effective course materials.
- Strong communication, organizational, and interpersonal skills tailored to both students and colleagues.
- Proficiency in research, scholarly activities, and contributions to nursing knowledge and practice development.
- Commitment to fostering an inclusive and supportive academic environment and working closely with diverse student populations.
- Experience with curriculum development and a dedication to upholding the principles of the nursing profession.
- Experience in rural community healthcare or interest in serving rural populations is a plus.
- Licensure as a Registered Nurse (RN) in Georgia (active and in good standing) is required.
