ABAC’s Department of Science and Mathematics is home to an interdisciplinary group of scholars who work together to offer courses in support of our USG-approved Core Curriculum and the Biology B.S. degree. We seek qualified adjunct faculty to staff courses in Biology, Chemistry, or Mathematics. Part-time, temporary, adjunct faculty may instruct one or two courses a semester on an as-needed basis.

Depending upon the candidate’s area specialization, possible courses may include: introductory biology, introductory chemistry, environmental science, physical science, interdisciplinary science for educators, anatomy and physiology I & II and/or associated labs, and special topics in biology or environmental science in the upper division. These courses may be offered in a traditional face-to-face format or online depending upon the need. The Department of Science and Mathematics offers courses both at ABAC’s main site in Tifton and at the instructional site in Bainbridge.

• Masters degree with a minimum of 18 credits of graduate coursework in biology, chemistry, mathematics, or related discipline.

• Evidence of successful teaching of college-level courses preferred.
