JOB OVERVIEW
We are seeking an experienced and skilled Maintenance Person to join our team. The successful candidate will be responsible for providing high-quality maintenance and repair services for our facilities.
QUALIFICATIONSHigh school diploma and a minimum of three (3) years’ experience in building maintenance and repair work, plumbing; carpentry, automotive maintenance, or equivalent combination.
LICENSURE OR CERTIFICATION REQUIRMENTSMust possess a valid Ohio driver’s license with an acceptable driving record.
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS OF THE POSITIONPerforms building repair work and preventative maintenance; operates and maintains boilers; repair and service boilers; maintains and inspects air conditioning equipment;
Inspects HVAC and electrical systems to ascertain causes of malfunction; performs test to set base line data on motors, fans, electrical controls, and air conditioning units; determines defects and makes minor repairs as necessary in all county buildings; installs or assists in the installation of new system; maintenance of security and fire alarm systems; ability to follow OSHA regulations and internal safety procedures;
required to be “on call” as assigned. Maintains project records regarding the utilization of supplies and work completed.
Performs carpentry, plumbing, electrical repair, masonry, painting, plastering and other building maintenance tasks;
Maintains and repairs door locks and hardware, cleans and repairs air conditioning filters; maintains and repairs housekeeping equipment, and repairs and refinishes furniture; hangs drywall and paneling; performs minor welding; transports equipment and supplies to work sites; performs semi-skilled and unskilled duties such as replacing light bulbs; secures buildings; cleans and maintains general orderliness of utility areas.
Operates vehicle and motorized equipment utilized in maintenance of facilities and ground (e.g. trucks, tractors, snowplow, lawn mowers, etc.) Performs automotive maintenance and minor repair functions, services automotive equipment with gasoline and oil; check and fills other fluid levels Performs lube, oil and filter services; performs preventative maintenance inspections and related servicing of light power equipment; performs grounds maintenance including landscaping and mowing.
Picks up materials and supplies; performs minor routine maintenance and repair functions; maintains buildings and grounds; delivers stock to various locations within the county; moves and rearranges furniture; cleans and maintains general orderliness of utility areas.
Ability to lift up to 50 pounds.
Carry a cell phone and required to be “on call” as assigned.
Other duties as assigned. Reports to Maintenance Foreman.
Job Type: Full-time
Pay: $17.00 – $18.00 per hour
Expected hours: 40 per week
