Light Street is hiring for a full‑time in person or a part‑time virtual Intervention Specialist/Special Education Teacher in Tiffin, OH.
- In‑person is full‑time, 5 days/week
- Virtual is part‑time, 1 day/week
- Must have Moderate‑Intense IS Certification

As an Intervention Specialist at Light Street, you play a key role in delivering comprehensive special education services to children with diverse learning needs. You implement evidence‑based interventions that enhance academic, social, and life skills, promoting student success.
Your responsibilities span multiple school settings, interacting with students, parents, administrators, and other professionals to ensure holistic care. You conduct evaluations, develop and implement individualized education programs (IEPs), and monitor progress toward goals.
EssentialJob Responsibilities
- Assess students’ abilities and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to their unique needs.
- Adapt general education lessons and teaching techniques to meet the needs of students with various disabilities.
- Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support.
- Prepare and organize classroom activities, educational materials, and assistive technologies to create an effective learning environment.
- Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies and IEPs as necessary.
- Manage classroom behavior, implementing positive behavior support strategies when needed.
- Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights on progress and recommending appropriate interventions.
- Engage in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in special education.
- Support early intervention services by participating in multi‑tiered systems of support (MTSS) or response to intervention (RTI) initiatives.
- Advocate for students’ needs and rights, ensuring they receive appropriate accommodations and services.

Qualifications- Bachelor’s degree in special education or a related field.
- Current OH licensure/certification.
