Light Street is hiring for a full‑time in‑person or a part‑time virtual Intervention Specialist / Special Education Teacher in Tiffin, OH!

In‑person: full‑time, 5 days/week. Virtual: part‑time, 1 day/week. Requirements:
Must have Moderate‑Intense IS Certification. Clinical Manager Support.

We partner with schools to improve the quality and efficiency of services for children with special needs, offering flexible solutions grounded in evidence‑based practices and focused on achieving positive outcomes for students and school partners.

• Assess students’ abilities and develop individualized education plans (IEPs) tailored to their unique needs.
• Adapt general education lessons and teaching techniques to meet the needs of students with various disabilities.
• Collaborate with general education teachers, parents, and other professionals to ensure comprehensive support for students.
• Prepare and organize classroom activities, educational materials, and assistive technologies to create an effective learning environment.
• Monitor and document student progress, adjusting teaching strategies and IEPs as necessary.
• Manage classroom behavior, implementing positive behavior support strategies when needed.
• Participate in IEP meetings, providing insights on student progress and recommending appropriate interventions.
• Engage in professional development activities to stay current with best practices in special education.
• Support early intervening services by participating in multi‑tiered systems of support (MTSS) or response‑to‑intervention (RTI) initiatives.
• Advocate for students’ needs and rights, ensuring they receive appropriate accommodations and services.

• Bachelor’s degree in special education or related field.
• Current Ohio licensure/certification.
• Moderate‑Intense IS Certification.
