We have strong values and are proud to pioneer new ways of delivering social care to stand out in our sector. In the past two years, we have won or made the shortlist for over 100 national and regional awards!
Role overviewWe are currently recruiting for a Female Support Worker for a 24 hour contract role in our service in Thurso
. In this role, you will support a lady with Downs Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder, who lives at home with her dad. The lady loves music, dancing and singing and would love someone with similar interests to support her. She enjoys a daily picnic, day trips and time with her dad and brother.
The person we support has a fear of dogs and requires patience, compassion and reassurance from staff. She prefers to go out into the community by car due to unease with dogs, so a UK driving license is essential for this role.
Shifts:
Monday, Wednesday and Sunday 9am–9pm, 9am–4pm or 4pm–9pm;
Tuesday and Thursday 9am–10pm. On weekends we provide sleepovers on Friday and Saturday night. All staff are required to work different shifts, including some sleepovers, to ensure fairness for the team.
Note:
For this particular role, a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
The people we support like to be supported by people who respect and encourage them and who like to have fun. They value reliability and honesty so you can build trust and know that you have their best interests at heart.
