We are currently recruiting for a Bank/Casual Female Support Worker for a role in one of our services in Thurso
.
In this role, you will support a lady with Down’s Syndrome and Autism Spectrum Disorder, who lives at home with her dad. The lady enjoys music, dancing and singing and would love someone with similar interests to support her. She enjoys a daily picnic, going out on day trips and spending time with her dad and brother. The lady has a fear of dogs, so patience, compassion and reassurance are required.
She prefers to go out into the community in the car due to her unease with dogs, so a UK driving license and access to your own car is essential for this role.
We provide support from 9am – 9pm from Monday to Thursday. On weekends, we provide support from 9am – 9pm
, as well as a sleepover on Friday and Saturday night.
Sometimes the people we support require a male or female staff member. For this role, a female colleague is required. This is a genuine occupational requirement as defined by the Equality Act 2010.
