As the Nurse Manager, you'll oversee all aspects of our health center operations during:
- Summer Camp
- Respite Weekends
- Winter Camp
- Assisted Travel Trips
You will supervise health staff, ensure seamless care, coordinate medical logistics, and maintain compliance-all while upholding The League's gold standard of inclusion, safety, and joy.
Key Responsibilities Health Center Operations- Oversee day-to-day health center functions.
- Delegate duties to health staff for efficient care delivery.
- Administer medications and manage delegation to trained staff.
- Ensure all medical documentation is accurate and complete.
- Assess camper health pre-arrival and throughout programs.
- Act as the key liaison for health concerns between families, staff, and camp leadership.
- Safeguard medical records, ensure compliance, and champion care continuity.
- Ensure compliance with COMAR, ACA, and the Maryland Board of Nursing.
- Revise policies based on evolving best practices.
- Track trends, reduce risk, and enhance care quality.
- Train staff in CPR, First Aid, and disease prevention.
- Lead delegation training and med admin protocols.
- Represent The League at community events and professional engagements.
- Registered Nurse (RN) licensed in Maryland (or compact state).
- Delegating RN certification (or eligible within 3 months of hire).
- Trainer Certification in CPR/First Aid (or obtain within 3 months).
- At least 1 year of experience serving individuals with disabilities.
- Camp experience and a valid driver's license? Even better!
- Deep knowledge of the Nurse Practice Act and med delegation.
- Strong leadership, communication, and organizational abilities.
- Confidence navigating the diverse health needs of campers with disabilities.
Compensation: $68,000 -$72,000 Annually
