Summer Student

The Greenstone Mine commenced production in May 2024 and will be one of Canada’s largest open-pit gold mines, with annual production expected to average nearly 400,000 ounces of gold per year for an initial 14-year mine life with additional potential from a large underground deposit. Greenstone Gold Mines LP is owned by Equinox Gold Corp, a Vancouver-based mining company with five operating mines in Canada, the United States, Mexico and Nicaragua.

Greenstone Mine is seeking Summer Students to join our team. Summer Students will be responsible for assisting the team with various aspects of the mine.

• You are by nature a self‑starter with the ability to work independently and take direction.

• Relevant work, co‑op or research experience, is considered an asset.

• Detail-oriented and able to work positively within a team.
• Punctuality and regular attendance are required.
• Compliance with all company policies and procedures including but not limited to safety, confidentiality, and environmental policies.
• Possession of a valid driver’s license.
• Identify potential safety hazards and work with management to correct them in conjunction with always working safely in all areas.
• Able to work without significant risk of harm to self and others.
• Demonstrated skills in MS Office and basic software applications.

• Enrolled in technical curriculum at an accredited college or university and completed at least one year of study.
• Valid Driver’s License.
• Must be minimum 18 years old.

• This position is a local position based in Geraldton, Ontario on a 7/7 rotation, or Monday – Friday depending on departmental needs.

Greenstone Mine provides company transportation from multiple pick‑up point locations.
