Overview
Are you an experienced transport professional? Do you need a new challenge? Do you have a passion for people and operational safety? We are looking for a proactive Transport Team Leader for our Primark contract in Thrapston, who can keep the transport operation running smoothly, ensure compliance, and drive team performance. If you thrive in a fast-paced environment, love problem-solving, and have a passion for motivating people, this role is for you.
This is a full time, permanent position. You will be working Friday to Tuesday
14:00 to 22:00

We’re looking to offer a salary of £35,000 per annum
, and 33 days annual leave (inclusive bank holidays). - Lead daily transport operations, ensuring smooth and efficient performance
- Drive compliance with all administrative, legislative, and security requirements
- Collaborate across departments to prevent delays and keep customers informed
- Manage and motivate teams, including drivers and admin staff, through coaching and development
- Oversee performance and safety, from tachograph records to accident investigations and vehicle defect management
- Detail-driven and organized, with strong prioritisation skills and accuracy in all tasks
- Experienced in transport or fast-paced operations, with solid knowledge of EU regulations and drivers working time directives
- Excellent communicator and problem-solver, confident engaging at all levels and working under pressure to tight deadlines
- Tech-savvy and adaptable, with strong MS Office skills and familiarity with transport systems (advantageous)
