We are seeking a highly motivated, sales‑driven leader to serve as Assistant Fitness Manager (Personal Training Sales). In this role, you will conduct welcome workouts with new members, guide them through their initial gym experiences, and help them start a personal training program. You will report to the Fitness Manager and play a crucial role in driving personal training sales and fostering member relationships.

• Ensure daily sales targets are met, especially during weekends or when the Fitness Manager is absent.
• Drive sales by promoting personal training packages and building strong rapport with members.
• Achieve targets for personal training services and small group training sessions, consistently meeting or exceeding performance goals.
• Collaborate with the membership sales team to support new member onboarding and ensure a smooth transition into the club experience.
• Conduct personalized welcome workouts for new members to evaluate their fitness needs and goals.
• Guide new members through their initial club experience, fostering a positive and supportive environment that promotes personal training sales, member retention, and engagement.
• Facilitate professional development for personal trainers through regular coaching sessions and continuous support.
• Effectively communicate goals, expectations, and procedures to staff, ensuring everyone understands their roles and responsibilities.
• Supervise the maintenance and cleanliness of the facility, including equipment, locker rooms, and common areas.
• Ensure compliance with health and safety regulations, maintain proper certifications, and implement safety protocols.

• 2–3 years of customer service experience.
• 1 year of sales experience.
• 1 year of supervisory experience.
• Prior experience or strong interest in the fitness industry.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Excellent relationship building and influencing skills across all functions.
• Strong detail orientation, systematic problem‑solving, and good time‑management and record‑keeping skills.
• Excellent MS Office skills.
• Someone who embraces our Core Values.

• Must be available to work nights and weekends.
• Must successfully pass a background check.
• Must have a valid Personal Training certification.
• CPR certification required within 30 days of hire.
• Ability to work in a gym setting; move about gym floors and rooms; communicate with employees, members, and the public.
• Ability to bend routinely and repetitively to lift more than 40 lbs.
• Ability to access and operate the company computer system for document preparation, data entry, and report reading.

California Pay Range: $40,000—$52,000 USD.
Variable income opportunities including commission and bonus.
