Job Summary

Seeking an experienced NICU Registered Nurse to join our dynamic team of healthcare professionals. In this role you will provide the best possible preventative and supportive intra‑operative care to each patient based upon their individual needs and are looking for a team member who feels patient care is as meaningful as we do.

Responsibilities
  • Assessing patients initially on admission to the unit and continually according to patient needs, condition change, or unit/department standards.
  • Serving as an advocate for patient/family/SO regarding decisions affecting the Plan of Care.
  • Developing, implementing, and modifying the patient’s plan of care according to the patient’s progress.
  • Demonstrating knowledge of specific disease process (diabetes, respiratory, endocrine, neurological, and renal), treatments, interventions and responses based on age specificity, patient’s needs, condition, impairment, or disability.
  • Reviewing physician orders and accurately transcribing to MAR; initiating STAT orders immediately.
  • Assessing, collaborating, reporting, and coordinating the patient’s transfer or discharge planning needs and readiness for discharge or transfer to another level of care with the other members of the health care team and patient’s family/SO.
Qualifications
  • Graduate of an accredited school of nursing, BSN preferred.
  • Current licensure in California as a Registered Nurse.
  • Minimum of two years Level 3 NICU experience.
  • BCLS required.
  • NRP required.

Los Robles Regional Medical Center is a 380+ bed acute care hospital dedicated to serving the residents of Ventura and Los Angeles Counties along with the Greater Conejo Valley. We are the only Level II Trauma Centre in East Ventura County and we offer a comprehensive range of services including a 24‑hour emergency department, comprehensive stroke centre, ICU/CCU, maternity, Level III NICU, comprehensive cancer centre and heart & cardiovascular centre.
