Job Overview
Critical care registered nurses are adept at providing such care in settings where patients have suffered a heart attack, stroke, shock, severe trauma, respiratory distress or other severe medical issues. Critical care nurses may also care for pre‑ and post‑operative patients and may serve as case managers, policy makers, or perform administrative duties.
Key Responsibilities- Assess a patient’s condition and plan and implement patient care plans
- Provide advanced life support and treat wounds
- Assist physicians in performing procedures
- Observe and record patient vital signs
- Ensure that ventilators, monitors and other medical equipment function properly and adjust ventilator/IABP settings
- Administer intravenous fluids and medications
- Perform suctioning
- Collaborate with fellow members of the critical care team
- Respond to life‑saving situations using nursing standards and protocols for treatment
- Act as a patient advocate and provide education and support to patient families
This is a per diem position; the candidate must be able to start within 2 weeks of offer

- Must have ACLS & BLS certifications (must be through the American Heart Association)
- Must have CA RN license
- Must provide attached certifications and license with submission
