Environmental Monitoring Supervisor – JLL

Onsite – Thousand Oaks, CA

6am‑3pm Monday‑Friday + OT as needed

$95,000 – $105,000 annually

Lead daily operations of environmental monitoring in manufacturing and support areas at Amgen Thousand Oaks. Oversee a team, ensure adherence to standards, and support manufacturing and quality control functions.

• Collect surface, air viable, and particulate environmental monitoring samples.
• Aseptic gowning and collection of gowning monitoring samples.
• Sampling of compressed air and gas.
• Operate and maintain specialized equipment for sample collection.
• Perform colony enumeration and data entry in laboratory information management systems.
• Communicate daily with cross‑functional teams.
• Implement laboratory improvements for efficiency and productivity.
• Revise laboratory SOPs and controlled documents using the Amgen enterprise document management system.
• Train new staff.
• Support quality management system records including deviations and change controls.

• Bachelor’s degree in a science field or equivalent lab experience in a commercial manufacturing environment.
• Proven supervisory experience with ability to lead and develop team members.

Familiarity with standard operating procedures or specific job instructions.
• Experience in a cGMP environment.
• Knowledge of cGMP regulations.
• Strong verbal and written communication skills.
• Goal‑oriented, quality‑conscientious, and customer‑focused.
• Knowledge of laboratory science and aseptic techniques principles.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Ability to read, understand, and follow work instructions and laboratory test methods.

• Proficiency in Excel is highly desirable.
