Gold’s Gym SoCal and its affiliated clubs are growing fast and looking for an hourly Front Desk Manager to help our teams provide world-class service for our members by utilizing in-depth knowledge of company products and programs. We’ll challenge your skills, talents, and abilities and reward your every success.
Compensation: $19.00 - $21.00 per hour.
Responsibilities- Manage Operations team to ensure policies and procedures are followed at all times.
- Hire, train and supervise operations team members for the front desk, Kids Club, and Housekeeping Associates.
- Serve as liaison with Corporate Customer Care Department and assist the General Manager with member and operational issues.
- Control cash deposits with GM sign-off and ensure daily deposits are made on time.
- Coordinate with the cleaning team to maintain proper cleanliness and manage cleaning checklists.
- Assist with cancellations to retain members and manage Medallia to address member concerns promptly.
- Assist with bi-weekly payroll to ensure missed punches are corrected and submitted on time, with payroll signed off by the deadline.
- Enforce club rules and policies and promote proper execution of procedures.
- Maintain full staffing through application reviews and interviewing; make hiring recommendations to the General Manager.
- Address membership questions and inquiries; train staff to provide hospitality and lead by example.
- Conduct weekly meetings with direct reports to review performance and provide guidance toward achieving individual and club goals.
- Ability to use sound business judgment and strong analytical skills.
- Effective communication and listening skills; ability to delegate and follow up.
- Strong planning, organization, and ability to create a positive environment.
- Willingness and openness for self-development; ability to utilize resources to improve operations.
- Strong leadership qualities with motivational and team-building skills.
- College degree preferred.
- Current CPR Certification is required.
- Ability to move and lift up to 25 lbs and stand or walk for extended periods; maintain professional demeanor and appearance in a clean uniform.
