About the RoleWe are seeking a Clinical Medical Assistant who provides clinical expertise to ensure high‑quality, efficient care. Your contributions will directly impact patients’ lives.
Responsibilities- Schedule, cancel, and manage patient appointments.
- Check in and check out patients.
- Enter charges and payments.
- Answer the telephone.
- Verify patient insurance and demographics.
- Collect co‑payments/coinsurance and personal balances.
- Perform selected administrative duties and assist nursing staff.
- Collect patient specimens.
- Takes patient histories and vital signs.
- Prepare exam and treatment rooms.
- Give injections, apply casts, splints, and dressings.
- Prepare and maintain supplies and equipment, including sterilization.
- Assist physician in pre‑surgery preparation and physical examinations.
- Perform other duties as required.
- Read, understand, and adhere to all Physician Services policies and procedures.
- Practice the Code of Conduct and Company Mission and Value Statement.
- For certified Patient‑Center Medical Homes: coordinate continuity of patient care with external organizations and referrals; participate in data collection, health outcomes reporting, audits, and programmatic evaluation.
- One year of Medical Assisting or direct clinical patient care experience.
- Certified Medical Assistant (RMA, CCMA, CMA, NCMA, NCRMA, or A ‑OE). If newly graduated, must obtain certification within 60 days.
- Or if no certification, must obtain it within one year of hire.
