Process Development Associate

$25.50 - $27.50/hr.

This role is in an integrated bioprocess development group in which cell culture and purification scientists work together to advance a rich, exciting and dynamic pipeline. With a biology-first approach, the position provides the unique opportunity to work on multiple modalities including antibodies, BiTEs, and bispecifics. The successful candidate will design and execute experiments at the bench scale, spanning the end-to-end drug substance process, including both cell culture and purification operations.

The candidate will apply established platform approaches and utilize problem-solving skills to rapidly solve day-to-day experimental challenges. The candidate will also contribute to laboratory operations, including various yellow belt and 5S projects, and expand skills in both cell culture and purification to support the integrated group.

• Help with completion of various lab operations projects for 5S and general lab organization.
• Complete tasks independently while asking questions to understand the scope of the request.
• Integrate into various teams to assist with upstream cell culture and downstream purification experiments. Be a fast learner who is curious to learn more about bioprocessing.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree OR
• Associate degree and 4 years scientific experience

• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or other relevant sciences with a demonstrated record of excellence.
• Ability to identify, develop and implement solutions to practical problems through fundamental scientific and engineering principles, preferably in a process development environment.
• Basic understanding of protein chromatography, filtration or cell culture principles; hands-on experience with purification operations is a plus.

Pay rate: $25.50 - $27.50/hr non-exempt positions are eligible for overtime where applicable. Final offer amounts are determined by factors including relevant skills, education, and experience. Benefits packages may include medical, dental, and vision coverage, among others.
