Process Development Associate - Healthcare & Research

Location: Thousand Oaks, CA

Job Type: Contract – 12 Months

Pay Range: $30-$32/hr

A client of Innova Solutions is hiring a Process Development Associate to support development, characterization, scale‑up, and support of upstream and downstream processes for clinical drug substance manufacturing processes.

• Design and execute bench‑scale experiments spanning end‑to‑end drug substance process including cell culture and purification operations.
• Apply platform approaches and use problem‑solving skills to solve day‑to‑day experimental challenges.
• Contribute to laboratory operations, including 5S and yellow‑belt projects.
• Collaborate with upstream cell culture and downstream purification teams.

• Bachelor’s or master’s degree OR Associate degree and 4 years scientific experience.

• Master’s degree in Chemical Engineering, Biochemical Engineering, Life Sciences, or other relevant sciences.
• Experience in process development environment.
• Basic understanding of protein chromatography, filtration or cell culture principles; hands‑on purification experience a plus.
• Familiarity with 5S principles and laboratory organization a plus.
• Experience with data analysis tools (Excel, Spotfire, etc.).
• Excellent interpersonal and organizational skills; self‑starter and team player.

• Mammalian cell culture and/or protein chromatography.
• Lab operations and 5S.
