As the Front Desk Associate, you'll ensure smooth operations at our front desk while providing excellent customer service to our patients. You'll handle administrative tasks, manage patient interactions, and collaborate with medical staff to support quality eye care services.
Job Responsibilities- Welcome and assist patients and visitors warmly and professionally.
- Register new patients and update records accurately.
- Schedule appointments efficiently to optimize doctor's time.
- Answer calls, provide information, and route inquiries appropriately.
- Verify insurance coverage and collect payments.
- Maintain patient records with strict confidentiality.
- Assist patients with forms and ensure accurate documentation.
- Coordinate referrals and appointments with other providers.
- Manage office inventory and order supplies.
- Provide basic information and instructions to patients.
- Perform administrative duties like filing, faxing, and sorting mail.
- Keep the front desk area organized and tidy.
- Collaborate with team members to ensure office efficiency.
- Stay updated on industry trends and regulations.
- Address patient concerns professionally and empathetically.
- Adhere to office policies, including HIPAA guidelines.
- High school diploma or equivalent.
- Previous medical office or customer service experience.
- Familiarity with ophthalmology terminology and procedures.
- Proficiency in electronic medical record (EMR) systems.
- Strong communication, organizational, and time management skills.
- Basic understanding of insurance billing and coding.
- Knowledge of appointment scheduling and patient flow management.
- Ability to handle confidential information discreetly.
- Understanding of common eye conditions and treatments.
- Customer-centric mindset and commitment to exceptional care.
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies.
- Excellent written and verbal interpersonal skills.
- Outstanding customer service abilities.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Office.
- Basic computer operating skills.
- Professional appearance and demeanor.

- Must be able to travel between all DLV locations in Westlake Village, Camarillo, Simi Valley, Newburry Park, Ventura & Encino as required for this role.

- Frequent handling of items weighing 10-15 lbs.
