Caregiver:
Westlake Village Sundays and Mondays 8:30 am to 8:30 pm

Family Ties Home Care has an opening for a client in Westlake Village/Lake Sherwood. She is 89 years old, lives alone, and has mild Alzheimer’s. She walks but is a fall risk and is extremely nice and considerate. She is forgetful and will repeat herself. She has had a few falls when she is not being supervised. She needs help with meals, tasks around the home, driving, errands, etc.

All standard ADLs are required and most are standby assistance. Cooking and driving are essential.

Must have caregiving experience, a driver’s license, and a car.

Responsibilities:

• Following a pre-set care plan
• Standard ADLs (personal care, bathing, dressing, grooming, hygiene assistance)
• Assist with medication reminders
• Monitor and report on client’s well‑being
• Light housekeeping, laundry, & other household daily chores as needed
• Grocery shopping & errands
• Cooking/meal preparation
• Communication with Family Ties HC management & family members/loved‑ones regarding the client’s daily status
• Daily notes
• Other duties assigned as needed

Qualifications:

• Current HCA or higher certification
• Caregiving experience of 1 year or similar experience
• Compassionate and caring demeanor
• Excellent communication & interpersonal skills
• Ability to follow the pre-set care plan and medication schedule
• Ability to lift 35 pounds
• Ability to assist with client’s mobility as needed
• Valid driver’s license and reliable transportation
• Ability to work the schedule as described
