Injection Mold Operations Lead

Overview

Seeking a skilled leader to oversee the design, fabrication, qualification, maintenance, and optimization of tooling and molds for manufacturing processes. This role manages a team of toolmakers and machinists, ensuring technical excellence, safety, and efficiency while meeting timelines and cost targets.

• Manage full lifecycle of tools and molds, from design through maintenance.
• Implement systems for tracking tools and equipment calibration.
• Provide estimates for tooling projects and support capital requests and purchase orders.
• Lead design reviews, oversee tool construction, and drive continuous improvement.
• Validate equipment and processes, troubleshoot tooling issues, and lead the team.
• Responsible to department budget.

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience in injection mold tooling design, fabrication, and troubleshooting.
• Expertise in tooling standards knowledge, CNC programming, knowledge of materials and machining processes.
• Experience at Expert level.

• Plastics engineering, Plastics injection molding, Tooling, Molding, validation, ISO 9001, ISO 13485, GMP, CNC programming, tool design, supervision.

Permanent position based out of Westlake Village, CA.

Pay range: $ - $/yr.
Medical, dental, vision, 401K, PTO.

Fully onsite position in Westlake Village, CA.
