Process Development Engineer
Location:
Thousand Oaks, CA (Hybrid)
Duration: 12 months (Contract)
Senior Level: Associate
Ideal Candidate: 2-4 years of relevant experience working in drug and animal cell processes; strong process knowledge; experience purifying cells (biologics purifications) and drug substance GMP manufacturing.
DescriptionSeeking a Process Development Engineer to join the Drug Substance Technology Engineering team at our Thousand Oaks facility. The engineer will provide process engineering support for human therapeutic products in clinical development through commercial production, translating developmental processes to commercial reality for patients through scientific expertise and engineering innovation.
Responsibilities- Apply purification process engineering knowledge to support technology transfer and clinical/commercial drug substance manufacturing in an innovative manufacturing suite using single‑use technology.
- Partner with manufacturing, quality, analytical, and bench scientists to support a highly dynamic manufacturing facility.
- On‑site a minimum of 3 days a week.
- Support process development and continuous improvement efforts across the product lifecycle.
- Biotech background and experience in process development.
- Purification experience is required.
- Experience with GMP manufacturing processes for drug substances.
- Strong analytical and problem‑solving skills.
