Overview
CD&A - Commercial Analytics Associate Director, Obesity. This position is On-Site at the Thousand Oaks, CA Amgen site with a flexible commute arrangement requiring a minimum of 3 on-site days per week. What you will do- Lead insights generation by integrating multiple secondary data sources and engaging CD&A colleagues to understand the obesity market and provide tactical recommendations.
- Clearly present and communicate findings and recommendations to Senior Leadership.
- Develop positive cross-functional relationships with marketing, finance, the broader CD&A team, and partners to develop and communicate assumptions based on secondary data analysis and partner input.
- Provide senior leadership with an objective and rigorous perspective on secondary data analytics and performance management.
- Lead the production and interpretation of data for standard reports (e.g., weekly dashboard, monthly tracking).
- Provide analytical support with limited supervision to the cross-functional team supporting general medicine.
- Prepare, interpret, and present analyses on specific business objectives and ad hoc investigative requests.
- Ensure applicable legal and regulatory compliance SOPs are understood and followed by yourself, vendors, and product teams.
- Collaborate with external vendors and consultants to enable effective project completion.
- Demonstrate ownership of relevant general medicine data sets, understanding data collection methods, business rules, and caveats.
- Improve the capabilities of the Commercial Insights team by researching and implementing new analytical tools, methodologies, data sources, and best practices.
- Minimum
Education Required:
High School/GED - Basic Qualifications:
Doctorate + 3 years analytics experience OR Master’s + 5 years OR Bachelor’s + 7 years OR Associate’s + 11 years OR High school diploma/GED + 13 years of analytics experience. - Preferred Qualifications:
Ability to onboard data and explore use cases; adopt AI methodologies; strong ability to transform insights into commercial actions; SME in data, analytics, research, and/or dashboarding & reporting; cross-functional collaboration; strong oral and written communication; project management; stakeholder management.
