Administrative Coordinator – Client Facing Technology - Research & Development What you will do

Let’s do this. Let’s change the world. In this vital role, you will provide administrative support to the Associate Vice President, Client Facing Technology Research & Development. You’ll join a collaborative Client Facing Technology organization focused on delivering business critical digital solutions to support Amgen’s mission.

This is a hybrid/flexible commuter role based in Thousand Oaks, CA.

  • Managing complex calendars and scheduling meetings across global time zones.
  • Coordinating domestic and international travel, including expense reporting via Concur.
  • Supporting Leadership Team meetings and Townhalls.
  • Supporting department operations, including onboarding and offboarding, technology setup, and workspace coordination.
  • Partnering with other administrative professionals and functional areas to ensure alignment and communication.
  • Providing backup support for other departmental administrators.
  • Collaborating on special projects and events as needed.
  • Assisting with budget tracking and vendor coordination.
  • Maintaining confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
  • Highly organized, solution-oriented, and a strong team player.

Basic Qualifications
  • Associate’s degree and 2 years of administrative experience
  • 2 years in a technical school setting with hands‑on experience
  • High school diploma / GED and 4 years of administrative experience
Preferred Qualifications
  • 4+ years of experience supporting senior leadership in a corporate or biotech environment.
  • Expertise in the Microsoft Office Suite, including Outlook, Word, PowerPoint, and Excel.
  • Proficiency in Concur, Workday, and Microsoft Teams.
  • Excellent organizational, written, and verbal communication skills.
  • Proven ability to manage multiple priorities in a fast‑paced environment.
  • Strong attention to detail and problem‑solving skills.
  • High level of discretion and integrity when handling confidential information.

The expected annual salary range for this role in the U.S. (excluding Puerto Rico) is posted. Actual salary will vary based on several factors including but not limited to, relevant skills, experience, and qualifications.
