Accounting Manager, Financial Reporting

Company is searching for a Senior Manager of Cost Accounting on its Global Accounting team. This role will report to the Director of Global Accounting Operations and will lead and manage a team of 4 to 5 individuals in the Global Cost & Operations Accounting group.
Responsibilities- Provide leadership to the team to execute on all accounting and reporting activities related to inventory, reserves, and transfer pricing for Company’s manufacturing network, ensuring US GAAP and other statutory reporting compliance.
- Partner with groups such as FP&A, Supply Chain, Corporate Tax, Disbursements, and I.S. to ensure proper accounting of inventory, including site support.
- Work with accounting management regarding proper application of US GAAP and company policies and procedures.
- Serve as lead contact for Corporate External Reporting, Corporate Audit, External Auditors, and Tax Compliance to provide audit/reporting support and analysis.
- Lead ERP and automation implementations related to Cost & Operations Accounting to ensure proper design, documentation, testing, and training of personnel.
- Perform inventory accounting for certain manufacturing sites.
- Manage and review the work of an outsourced provider that supports this team.
- Support master data and related activities.
- Support process mapping, SOP, and training creation.
- Prepare and review audit schedules and answer questions from internal and external auditors.
- Consolidate, analyze, and report global inventory balances by product/site and perform detailed monthly variance analysis.
- Certified Public Accountant (CPA) or MBA preferred.
- Audit or Big 4 Public Accounting experience.
- Strong technical US GAAP knowledge in the area of Inventory.
- Proficient in Microsoft Excel, Word, and PowerPoint.
- Experience working with the general ledger system (SAP and S4 HANA).
- Industry experience in a large company.
- Excellent analytical, problem-solving, and organizational skills.
- Strong written, verbal communication, and presentation skills, with the ability to bridge cultural differences.
- Detail-oriented with strong business analytical skills.
- Ability to take initiative and work with a minimum level of direction in a fast-paced environment.
- Ability to lead projects, manage staff, and work with cross-functional teams.
- Team/Contractor supervision experience.
The typical base pay for this role across the U.S. is: $50.00 - $56.00/hour. Non‑exempt positions are eligible for overtime at a rate of 1.5 times the base hourly rate for all hours worked in excess of 40 in a work week, or as required by state or local law. Final offer amounts, within the base pay set forth above, are determined by factors including your relevant skills, education and experience.
