Mobile Associates (MA) work as a member of a Retail Team of Experts to bring the T-Mobile brand to life. They are brand ambassadors who build energy and excitement around our products and services. They are passionate about the connected world and thrive in a fast-paced environment, where technology innovations, customer needs, and the Retail experience are continuously evolving. They build relationships with customers and help uncover their needs with education, demonstrations and recommendations.
This role is a learning role, where new associates work with their team and proactively build skills in preparation for the next level as a Mobile Expert. Successful completion of new employee training is required.
Job Responsibilities- Builds proficiency related to serving and selling to customers, while providing a world-class customer experience and building loyalty by: helping customers pick up right where they left off in their shopping journey (online, through Customer Care, or in-store).
- Explore individual needs and provide hands-on demonstrations of the latest technology in-store.
- Side-by-side selling to find personalized solutions beyond the bare-bones device and service plan, including accessories and IoT devices.
- Approach service and sales needs with composure, integrity, and compassion.
- Become skilled with and consistently use digital tools in interactions and onboarding to demonstrate: how coverage stacks up in the customer’s neighborhood; why T-Mobile plans and services meet their needs; completes training on in-store experience, new skills and processes, knowledge of systems and resources; and stay informed about innovations in wireless technology.
- Establish relationships with and partner with T-Mobile employees across channels to own the customer experience, resolve issues, and create a seamless environment.
- Identify and hand off small business leads; support team initiatives and foster an inclusive environment.
- Education:
High School Diploma/GED (Required) - Work Experience:
6 months of customer service and/or sales experience;
Retail environment preferred (Required) - Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:
Passionate customer advocate who enjoys connecting with people; competitive drive and ability to succeed in a fast-paced sales environment; willingness to learn from peers and leaders; effective at balancing customer needs and performance goals; at least 18 years of age; legally authorized to work in the United States. - Travel:

Hourly Base Pay: $19.00, plus $5.00 per hour training pay. Within the first 90 days, on-the-job training is provided with eligible hourly training pay. Upon promotion to Mobile Expert, eligible for an annual incentive target of $18,000/year (varies by performance and status). All employees are guaranteed to earn $20/hour inclusive of base pay and incentives. Eligible employees are also eligible for an Annual Stock Grant.
