Job Description

Client Relationship Consultants build relationships with customers, engaging them via multiple channels including in-person, by appointment, and virtually to provide counsel while adopting a digital-first mindset. They establish trust by assessing and addressing customers’ banking needs, obtaining and processing customer and account information, demonstrating and educating clients on deposit and loan products and services, and recommending solutions based on each customer’s goals and needs.

Responsibilities include outreach and follow-up with clients, identifying solutions for new and existing clients, maintaining knowledge of consumer and business banking products (including digital products), delivering an optimal client experience, greeting clients, and processing basic transactions. They develop collaborative partnerships with branch team members and partners to best serve clients, open new consumer and business accounts, complete service requests, and submit credit applications.

They proactively educate clients on emerging and self-service digital products and services, and leverage available resources to optimize the client experience with operational excellence and accuracy.

Requirements and Compliance

A Client Relationship Consultant will not be able to perform this job without knowing how to read, write, and speak in business-level proficiency of the Spanish language. This position requires National Mortgage Licensing System (NMLS) registration under the S.A.F.E. Act of 2008 and Regulation Z. You will be subject to the required registration process, including a criminal background and credit check.

Failure to meet or maintain any NMLS registration requirements may result in a rescission of your offer or termination of employment.

This position also requires two or more hours of driving per week. Coverage of branches in Thornton, Westminster, Broomfield, and Brighton is required.

Basic Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • Typically has a minimum four to five years of job-related, retail banking experience or a combination of experience and commensurate training
  • Bilingual ability to read, write, and speak in business-level proficiency of Spanish language and English
Preferred Skills/Experience
  • Proven ability to build and foster relationships with clients through proactive outreach and follow up
  • Ability to effectively engage and communicate with clients
  • Thorough knowledge of applicable bank and branch policies, procedures and support systems
  • Thorough knowledge of all retail products and services
  • Proven customer service and interpersonal skills
  • Experience in participating in sales campaigns/promotions
  • Experience with using and demonstrating digital products and self-service technologies
  • Ability to explore and identify a customer’s true needs while leveraging a digital-first mindset
  • Demonstrated advanced level of proficiency in making appropriate recommendations that meet customer’s needs both reactively and proactively
  • Experience in the financial services industry preferred
Location Expectation

This role requires working from a U.S. Bank location for all scheduled work days.
