As an Assistant Store Manager, you make a difference in the lives of pets by influencing the performance and behavior of store Team Members under the direct supervision of the Store Manager, and are responsible for providing exceptionalपट service, increasing store awareness, achieving business results, and assisting with operational processes.

Job Type

Full‑time.

Responsibilities
  • Provide guests with an exceptional experience.
  • Assist the Store Manager in overall store operations management.
  • Share product knowledge and suggestions to meet customer needs and promote pet health.
  • Coach and lead Team Members to deliver exceptional guest experience and achieve sales goals.
  • Oversee all aspects of inventory: merchandise replenishment, adjustments, weekly cycle counts, store transfers, RTVs, and shipment processing.

  • Organize special store events and promotions.
  • Interact positively with pet parents in person, email, text, and phone.
  • Perform front‑end duties such as handling the cash register, bagging, replenishing merchandise, and preparing displays.
  • Carry out any other duties from the Store Manager or Retail Management Team.

  • Must be 18 years or older.
  • Passion for outstanding customer service and pet well‑being.
  • Minimum 1 year of professional retail emission experience.
  • Minimum 1 year of professional managerial experience.
  • Willingness to be educated about the products and services offered.
  • Demonstrated ability to meet sales targets.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings and weekends.
  • Strong time‑management and organizational skills.
  • Physical Demands
    • Work indoors and outdoors.
    • Stand 8 hours per day (with or without reasonable accommodation).
    • Lift 50 pounds on a regular basis (with or without reasonable accommodation).
    • Comfortable working with a wide variety of animals, including small and large dogs.
    • Work around pet hair and dander.

    Salary
